Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

A collaborative effort by Roger and Kuang Seng

We chose this tribute as we felt that Mr Lee's effort to work with the world powers is pivotal to Singapore's Success as a tiny island. Mr Lee was able to foresee China rise in economic power and thus implemented the bilingual policy to enable Singaporeans to have the edge over other countries on having partnerships with China. Economical advancements have been achieved by the collaborative efforts of both Countries and one such effort was the CS-SIP, China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park(中國—新加坡蘇州工業園區).

Tribute to Mr Lee Kwan Yew by JieHan and Isabella

We resonate with this comment about Mr Lee Kwan Yew the most. We must not only remember him as a man who built the modern Singapore, but remember his legacy and continue to make Singapore an even better state that he would have been satisfied with and proud of.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew - Huda and Danish

This tribute is meaningful to us because it shows his dedication for Singapore . It represents his continuous contribution and determination into making the country a better place.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew

By Shawnn, Jerrold and Dylan

We chose this photo as we felt that it represented what Mr Lee had to go through for a successful Singapore; perseverance and dedication. He had to make some difficult and harsh choices even if it meant portraying himself as an authoritarian. He also had to persevere through the harsh times of Singapore, and was dedicated to contributing to Singapore's success even through the final months of his life.

Tribute to Mr Lee Kuan Yew by Jason, Ian and Hannah

Our group feels that the slide which resonates with us the most is this.

This is because it states many important lessons that we can learn from his life.

The train on the main noticeboard comprises 26 cabins, each representing a member through our polaroids and personalised train tickets holding our aspirations. Bottles at the front contain a self-written message to our future self, serving as a reminder of our aspirations and appreciation of our four years in SST.

The class mission and code is represented through the sharing and embracing of our diversity and the reminder that we hold the key to our futures. We are one Story, comprising of many chapters.
